My Diploma!

Posted in College, Personal at 12:11 am by Olrik

Tomorrow before 12:00 UTC+1 I will be actually receiving my Diploma!! I am so happy I finally got it. It took the school almost one and a half months to ‘make’ the diploma and notify me that it was actually there. I am really glad I am finally though this school as I didn’t really learn a lot there. Non the less, I needed the paper and that’s what I have now. I am so exited I am going to show it to a lot of people tomorrow, they better be prepared for a little bragging session! ;-)

Exams are as good as done!

Posted in College, Personal at 3:00 pm by Olrik

Yaaaaaaay, Today I went into college to let my work get checked and I am not almost done! I had my test setup checked, gave in the documents and now I have to talk with them about my documents next week on Friday (27-03-2009). It feels so good to know that I am as good as done, it gives a lot of reassurance. I found it awesome that when my teachers checked my work they said: “Your skill level is way higher then we suspected. This work is a lot higher then the requirements. I see we’re working with a real ICT admirer here.”. I feel like I’m on top of the world right now!

After next Friday I will have a vacation period of about 4-5 months, oh how sweet that is going to be! I already know what I am going to do. Work at Geeks to Go! to reach malware staff, and with it ‘dual status’. I am going to help my dad clean his house, as at this time it’s a real men’s home, hehe. And finally I am going to Primary Schools to teach young kids about the Internet. How it can be great, but also really dangerous if you’re not careful. I am so looking forward to next Friday and receiving my Diploma!

Working vs Doing Nothing

Posted in College at 3:33 pm by Olrik

Yes, you might think that you can easily set your priorities here. Well, apperently my classmates disagree. For some weird reason they consider doing nothing, browsing for web games, watching youtube all day, having random garbage talk etc. etc. etc. is more important then getting a proper degree. When I look around in the class I can always see at least 2 games going on. It’s starting to annoy me although it is not really my business. I don’t really understand why they are actually here if they are going to do nothing at all they might as well stay at home, right?

There is one particular guy in our class that litterly got thrown out of class for gaming during class twice! I think he actually got a propper talk with the teachers asking if he was here for the education or not. Well, I certainly hope that he will shut up for a while. It was really starting to get on my nerves.

Well, that was for todays rant.. I hope my next blog post will be a bit more positive.

They did it again…

Posted in College at 11:59 am by Olrik

Great.. Just when I thought it coulnd’t get worse, they overdid themselves. You’re probably wondering what I am talking about. Well, I am talking about college. For a while now I have been confused with the schedules they have been giving me and the only thing I really do there is annoy myself on teachers that can’t actually teach me something. In the end I got a custom schedule I could follow and all was good for about 2 weeks.

Now today I was supposed to have a class at 8:45, but as I did not know yet, It had been changed to 12:45. So I get up at 6 in the morning and get ready for college, With the great mood I had to bike through the rain to get to the train. When I finally arrive on the train station I get the announcement that the train as a 10 minute delay so we have to stand there in the raid for an aditional 10 minutes. I thought my mood couldn’t get worse at that time.

Finally arrived at college I meet a few classmates that had to come in early to finish some work and I had to hear from them that 2 weeks ago the whole class (but me) got a different schedule that said I only had to go to college at 12:45. I made a 180 degree turn and went straight home. The amount of times this has happened to me now is just not funny anymore. I am going to write the college an e-mail demanding a proper schedule, and this time I hope they will inform me of any sudden changes.
