Tomorrow before 12:00 UTC+1 I will be actually receiving my Diploma!! I am so happy I finally got it. It took the school almost one and a half months to ‘make’ the diploma and notify me that it was actually there. I am really glad I am finally though this school as I didn’t really learn a lot there. Non the less, I needed the paper and that’s what I have now. I am so exited I am going to show it to a lot of people tomorrow, they better be prepared for a little bragging session!

For some that may not know, I am doing my driving lessons! Today is my tenth lesson which is the mid-term test, which involves me driving to the next town with a navigations system. I’m quite excited but I really hope I will do good! Another one of my driver instructor’s pupils told me that he was dead serious while normally he’s a lot of fun!! Oh I just can’t wait to get back in that car and do my best to pass that mid-term test! Well.. that’s the blog post for now, I’ve been really busy with working on Geeks to Go!’s Tech Academy. Another blog post will come soon!

Yaaaaaaay, Today I went into college to let my work get checked and I am not almost done! I had my test setup checked, gave in the documents and now I have to talk with them about my documents next week on Friday (27-03-2009). It feels so good to know that I am as good as done, it gives a lot of reassurance. I found it awesome that when my teachers checked my work they said: “Your skill level is way higher then we suspected. This work is a lot higher then the requirements. I see we’re working with a real ICT admirer here.”. I feel like I’m on top of the world right now!
After next Friday I will have a vacation period of about 4-5 months, oh how sweet that is going to be! I already know what I am going to do. Work at Geeks to Go! to reach malware staff, and with it ‘dual status’. I am going to help my dad clean his house, as at this time it’s a real men’s home, hehe. And finally I am going to Primary Schools to teach young kids about the Internet. How it can be great, but also really dangerous if you’re not careful. I am so looking forward to next Friday and receiving my Diploma!

It has been way too long ago since I have written on my blog. I think today (before I go to bed) is the right time. After a month or so of no posts I really felt the urge to write something again. Lately I didn’t have much to write about as I was probably stressing over my exams. Yes, that’s right. I am in my exam period at the moment but it’s going pretty well. I had finished my practical side of things in 2 and a half days! My teachers were all amazed about the speed at which I completed that task. Heh, shows them!
I must say though, I have been going completely nuts at my fellow students. My class sounds like a damn pirate ship! It’s like Piracy is an accepted thing in society which I find bluntly said ‘dumb’. It’s like walking into a grocery store and walking out without paying. I am sure at least some people will be running after you. Too bad that on the internet people get too much anonymity which makes them think they can do whatever they want without any consequences for them. Some day it will turn around and bite them in the ass.
Ugh, and the amount of spam comments my blog has had in the last month, at least 100 or something. I’m considering placing a honeypot on my blog to catch myself some spammers! Heh, I’ll laugh if I help blow up at least one spammers database. It seemed to work pretty well for my forum though! Lets see if it will do the same for my blog!
Well, I hope I will be writing more from now on. My exams are almost done so that frees up some time (which I really like). One of the reasons I posted this was to try out “Windows Live Writer”. I don’t know yet, but the first impression seems rather nice, for someone like me anyway. I’ll see you all soon!

For the people wondering where I was the last 2-3 days, I have been at my mother’s home and sadly, when I came back home on wensday I noticed I had no internet connection. I immediately thought my router had one of it’s weird days so I decided I’d do a power cycle. Turned the devices off, turned them back on. Now normally, the network would be back up and I could log into mIRC, MSN, Gmail and all the other applications that I have online, sadly though, this was not the case. I figured something was wrong at my ISP so I checked the log of my modem and noticed that the modem had no Internet IP address anymore. The beautiful numbers “0.0.0.0″ appeared for me.
Well, of course you then call the helpdesk to find out if there are any known malfunctions or something but even there, no known issues. The guy ran me through all the steps (which I already did..) and eventually escalated the call to the technical service. I was quite pleased to find out that the technical service called me back within 2 hours and had me check a few things on the modem. I was SO happy to notice that once I mentioned looking into the logs of the modem the guy figured out I was a techy and started talking to me in a way my mom would never understand
After some troubleshooting and thoughts between the two of us we figured out it was the hardware. JOY! Modem replacement needed which takes up to 5 days for the delivery. I wasn’t pleased at the fact I needed to live without the internet for a couple of days considering I’ve got a lot of college work to finish up. Though I was really pleased at the fact that my ISP responded quickly and to the point.
Well, I think I’m going to round this post up. I would’ve posted this on wensday itself, but sadly I couldn’t. (Duh ;)) I’ve written this post offline in good old fashion notepad.

It’s been a while since I wrote a blog post.. The reason behind this would be a couple of things.. One of those being my college at this time. It has been a stressfull two weeks as I have been trying to get all my work finished in time and even now I still have work to do.
I still have my Geeks to Go course to finish up, My college work to complete, Figure out how to tell this girl I fancy her without creating odd situations AND ontop of all that I’ve got things at home which aren’t all sunshine. Sometimes I wish I could live on an Island to hide from all the worries I have, but sadly we can’t run away from our problems or hide from it. Instead we must solve our problems, and that can be stressful.
All in all.. this is going to be a great 2 weeks!

As some of you might or might not know, my parents are divorced and they have been for the past one and a half years but I think the concequences are finally getting to me. The last couple of weeks I haven’t been feeling as good as I used to and I don’t really have a space to call my own, that I can go to whenever I feel I need to retreat. I have been working at a 25% speed then usual and it is really starting to annoy me to the point that I want to make quite a drastical decision.
It’s not a simple Innie Minnie Miney Moe game but I really want to live with one parent standard. I believe this will relief some stress and will make me able to create a place for my self and cool down. It’s not going to be an easy decision as I will end up hurting at least one parent (Or so I think). The upcoming week is going to be a tough one.. I think..

I’m not going through one of the best few weeks of my life as you could’ve read in my previous blog posts. Well, there is at least one thing that keeps making me happy. Dancing Lessons. It’s something I can keep putting time into. It’s a lot of fun trying to get the steps, and the body work and the timing right at the same time.
I dance every friday, but aside from the fridays there is also those ‘techincal hour’ lessons. Every first wednesday of the month. In these lessons they put more pressure on the timing and body work and that makes the feel and look of the dance a lot more different.
I am going to try and tape some dances of my dancing test on the 6th of December. I will be dancing for gold, and after I complete that I will continue for gold star. I am really looking forward to learning a few more dances!

Hello everyone,
My name is Olrik Lenstra and I was born on 6th of Febuari in 1991. I will be writing this blog about what I encounter in my life. I have tried writing a blog in the past but as I was younger I guess I couldn’t keep up. As a good friend told me: ‘I write from my heart. It helps me deal with things’ and I hope it will do the same for me. As I am writing this I have gotten a horrible week behind me.
The week started off with me having about 2 hours of sleep on the monday, obviously having college the next day, Luckly the college didn’t take that long as it was only half a day. Then that Tuesday evening we had a show at the theater, I almost fell asleep half way through.. Not the best of times to go to the teather and listen to a peaceful show. Up til Friday I did not have that much trouble.
Obviously I’d forgot something.. I said I’d help someone fix their laptop of some Java issue. Then ontop of that the dancing lessons just went bad, I couldn’t count properly and just couldn’t remember my steps. As stupid as I was I went to bed at 6 in the morning. Not being able to sleep on saturday so did not have sleep for about 30 hours. Went to bed at 8PM on sunday and slept in until 12 on Monday, which was bad since I promised a friend I’d help her with her chemistry class. I really feel bad about not helping the 2 people I promised to help.
On top of all the trouble I’ve had the past week I don’t feel great too.. I am uncertain about a couple of things and I blame myself about forgetting a lot of things. I had this about 2 years ago too, I didn’t do a lot of school work and just forgot about a lot of things. I think it’s horrible..
I know the blogpage still looks a little horrible, I will be working on that next.
