Sealing a window isn't more then pushing it firmly in it's socket and shutting off 3 clips. Due to the rubber in the sockets the windows the water can't get in, but sadly it wasn't properly closed. I'm just happy that the maps didn't have permanent damage :-)

We didn't use the motor and were only using sails when we saw the dolphins. I am sure that they would've fled if we started the motor. It was great though, because they came to us and kept circling around the boat. I will never forget that moment :-)

Docking -can- be a PITA. Depends how the harbor has things organized. And steering a boat isn't has hard as steering a car. You have a lot less traffic to take into account. You just know that if you see a big tanker coming at you to steer a different way ;-) ((Obviously there are some rules, but those were all handled by the 2 big guys on board ;-) ))

And yea.. the only thing we had to 'carry' on the bikes was ourselves and a few groceries. Hill up was awful but hill down was great fun!

Yes, I did learn the Bowline, but I am not sure if I would be able to perform it at this very second. I had a lot of help from my uncle and dad.

Fanta is a soda orange juice. More info here:

<description>Really sucks that all your maps n' stuff got wet. How involved is sealing one of those windows? Is it just like a clip or did the window actually require thumbscrews?

<description>That's insane that you saw those dolphins. I was under the impression that they'd be scared of the boat and scatter when you got near. But those pics of them right next to the boat sure are good :)

<description>Sounds like actually docking was a real PITA. Mom has a crappy tiny boat she shouldn't have bought .. but even with a real dock it can be a PITA to dock. Docking to a pole would make my head spin -- especially if it was windy.

Other big thing about steering a boat is that the wheel doesn't "reset to center" by itself like it does in a car.

How much did you have to carry on the bikes? Just yourself?
